Art has been with Sodexo for a number of years and has had the same helpful attitude from day one. He is a receiver and doesn’t work in any service area but when he is needed he answers questions and is polite and courteous to all the customers. He is quick to clean any spills to keep our dining room clean and a safe environment for our customers to dine in. Art is an asset to our team and is willing work on many stations, often lending a hand. He is quick to jump in and help and is always happy to do it. Art often comes in on his days off to help out and keep the kitchen area clean. He is a great worker and we are lucky to have him as part of our team!

Dan Reynolds

Dan has been with us for a few years and has provided great customer service. He works in the bakery where he makes delicious treats for the students. He has on occasion helped disabled customers in getting their meal for them and walking it to their table. What makes Dan’s customer service skills so well is his knowledge of the ingredients of what he is serving. He provides a confident level of knowledge that makes the customer feel safe in the choice of treat.  Dan is a hard worker, often coming in on his days off to help the rest of the team. Keep up the great work!

Jimmy Bond

What do we know about Bond, James Bond?  When we hear that name we think of secret agent 007, the man with the golden gun and even the beautiful Bond girls.  But does anyone ever think of the Rat?  That’s right the Rat.  We have our own James Bond and we all know him as Mr.Jim.

Mr. Jim has been a cook for the Rat for the past 15 years and in that time he has seen staff and cooks come and go.  Yet he is here Monday thru Friday week after week, during that crucial common break period, ensuring our students are fed.  I don’t recall him ever leaving us in a bind.  And I thank him for that.  He arrives every morning at 6am to put orders away and start prepping for the day, never knowing who will be working along side of him.  There are not many people who would withstand some of the problems that arise, but Jim (although not liking the situation) perseveres through thick and thin.  I would just like to take this time to say we owe him a bit of gratitude and recognize him for all the hard work he does for us all.

Sabrina Brooks

Sabrina has been a cashier at The College of New Jersey for the past 15 years.  She listens to what are customers want and is always smiling and so nice.  As a cashier, Sabrina is not only responsible for being the first face our customers see while entering the food court, but also the last face when they leave.  She understands that greeting them with a smile and positive attitude goes a long way.  Sabrina doesn’t just stand at the register; she also helps to stock products, make coffee, so that it is readily available for our customers. Over the past month we’ve had at least 3 students stop us to tell us how great Sabrina is and how much they love her.  Most of our customers know Sabrina by name and that rapport makes everyone feel good about the service. Great Job!
